1. Worked as a Buyer in a HIGHLY VARIABLE Demand environment

2. Experience in the following domains: Order processing

Supply chain management Order management Procurement

3. Knowledge of ERP (Preferably BAAN)

4. Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook

5. Some exposure to voice process will be highly preferred

6. Excellent written and oral communication skills MANDATORY.

7. Good analytical skills.

9. Conflict resolution.

10. Reporting & Decision making skills.

1. Handle a team of 80+ Buyers.

2. Work on shortage management with buyers, provide assistance in resolving Accounts Payable, warehouse and RTV challenges, follow-up to ensure PO’s are placed on time, there are no past due orders, work on POAN action items.

3. Ensure there are no Production line down situations

4. Perform Quarterly / Annual performance appraisals for the team members.

5. Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics

6. Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.

7. Mentor the team and guide them towards effective discharge of functions.

8. Handle escalations if any, and escalate matters requiring the senior management’s attention on a timely basis.

9. Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools or topics.

10. Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.

11. Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes

12. Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.

13. Give presentations to the Top Management w.r.t the business.
