Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.

Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.

Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria.

Participates in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.

Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.

Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in operation/ production support engineer role in a technology setup, preferably e-commerce.

Excellent application debugging skills including but not limited to looking at multiple logs, application code and infra setup.

Very good communication skills both written and spoken.

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong Java experience – Spring, Tomcat, J2EE, OO concepts, Design patterns.

Experience in Hybris would be a plus.

Knowledge in other technologies including but not limited to PHP, Javascript, NodeJS, HTML and RESTful web services.

Knowledge on database technologies like MySQL, Mongo DB and SQL query language.

Good knowledge on web application setup – Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, reverse proxying and virtual servers;

Good knowledge on web application setup and understanding of how e-commerce sites work.

Understanding of agile development methodologies.

Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing focus.

Experience in using support ticket management tools – Jira.

Able to identify and execute small projects independently to solve repeating issues.

Able to effectively communicate ideas to stake holders at different levels.

Able to Identify issues before they occur and solve them as well.

A fast learner – learning multiple technologies, different areas of application as and when required.
