Job Description

Strategic

  • Implement the HR strategy and initiatives of the company at the Plant with a view of aligning it with the business strategy of the Client.
  • Plans and executes strategic actions aimed at successful implementation of people initiatives and maintenance of industrial harmony at Haldia Plant.
  • Liaises with government officials and external agencies as part of the greater industrial relations objectives of the company.

Operational

  • Regularly communicate with the Plant Head and all other departments at Haldia Plant to understand their HR, IR and Administration needs, coordinate with HO and drive the implementation of the overall HR strategy of the company
  • Strive to resolve bottlenecks related to acceptance of new management initiatives through constant communication and counseling measures

Performance Management System

  • Implement the performance management system of the company through regular monitoring, providing clarifications and following up on timelines and responsibilities.

Training & Development

  • Provide support to company efforts in the area of leadership development, manpower retention and development, skill transfer & talent pool formation through effective implementation and monitoring of HRD and Training initiatives at the Plant.
  • Design the annual calendar for training initiatives along with details of programme content, faculty and logistics and regularly monitors and reports to top management progress on the same.
  • Implement other suitable HR initiatives as may be decided on/approved by the top management from time to time.
  • Coordinate measurement of the effectiveness of these programs and takes mid course corrective actions wherever necessary.

Staffing & Manpower Planning

Coordinate with department heads for finalization of staffing plans through internal or external recruitment.
